A neuropsychology assessment is useful is helping to understand and/or diagnose:
Our neuropsychology assessments typically include a thorough assessment of all cognitive domains, including intellectual functioning, information processing and attention, verbal and visual learning and memory, executive functioning and academic skills. We will also screen for emotional and behavioural regulation, social skills and emotion and behaviour.
We believe in ensuring that everyone has a clear understanding of the information that comes out of the assessment. Once the report is complete, we take the time to work closely with our clients and their families, offering support to ensure that the details and strategies are fully understand. We collaborate with you to share this information with schools and other relevant organisations, ensuring a seamless and informed approach.
Please note that a Medicare rebate does not currently exist for these services.

Please also note that a neuropsychology assessment does NOT diagnose autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, it may provide valuable insights that can help to determine whether a specialised assessment is necessary. If you have concerns about ASD, we encourage you to discuss with your clinician the best approach for addressing these concerns.

The assessment typically involves a combination of developmental history, behavioral observations, and standardized testing to provide a clear picture of how a person processes and interacts with the world. If you or your child are showing signs of ASD, a thorough assessment can offer valuable insights, guide support strategies, and help inform appropriate interventions. Our team works collaboratively with you to ensure that the assessment process is thorough, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs.
An ASD assessment can be conducted in addition to a neuropsychology assessment.
