At Minds That Matter Psychology we have dedicated paediatric psychologists to provide counselling support for children and young adults. Our team can help your children build emotional resilience and strategies to manage stress and tricky times.
We understand the complexities of parenting. Children bring much joy and delight but at times can be challenging and create much stress and worry for parents. Our team can also work collaboratively with you to give you the tools to help your child overcome behavioural and emotional challenges.
We may also spend time working with your child in their educational setting to ensure that we incorporate all of their support networks.
• Worrying and anxiety
• Low mood
• Family separation or divorce
• Death of a loved one
• Friendship issues
• Diagnosis of diabetes, cancer and neurological illnesses
• Trouble sleeping
• Social difficulties
• Behavioural challenges at home and/or school
We also run group programs and Bootcamps. These provide a great space for children to learn skills in a fun and interactive environment with other children.
With a background in neuropsychology, our paediatric psychologists can also offer specialised support and behavioural intervention for children with neurodevelopmental conditions, chronic illnesses and acquired brain injuries such as:
• Intellectual disability
• Traumatic brain injury
• Neurological conditions (i.e., ADEM, encephalitis, meningitis, epilepsy, stroke etc)
• Cerebral palsy
